Attached image error: "Image could not be rendered properly"

I upgraded my old pixel to the pixel 6 pro and now I cannot view the photos/images in Evernote. I get the message that  "image could not be rendered properly".

Any fix for this, as I have several images in evernote?

I had a problem for a while with some images (i think i added them using the web client) having the wrong file ending. for example, the image file was called image001.jpg but was actually a png. I forget which client had problems with this, but it could have been the Android client.

Can you download the image on a computer and check to see if the ending is correct?
