Hi.  No.  If you paid Evernote direct,  it's usually only necessary to sign out of the app and back in,  or -worst case- restart your device to get the upgrade.  If you paid Google or Apple,  it seems to take a little while for the message to get through.  Wait for a little while and try again.  If all else fails...
