Feature or bug: Reminder of Evernote on Mac OS does not push notification when the app is closed?

I am trying to use Reminder of Evernote on my Mac OS and can get notification  when the app is on, but no notification  is pushed when the app is closed. Is it a bug or a feature?

Editor: v134.0.17043
Service: v1.41.4

I think the messages are produced by the app itself, not by a server function. This means on desktops the app probably needs to run. On iOS it works without the app being active, but probably the reminders work differently on the mobile OS.

If you want to know for sure, ask support.

No, here we are talking user2user. I don’t remember there was a similar question yet, there are threads about reminders not working. You can find them by searching in the forum.
