"Move note to..." completely ignores notebook stacks. Really?

Recommended Posts

In the new Evernote 10, moving a note to a notebook is a disaster. The popup window showing the available notebooks now shows all your notebooks, whether in a stack or not, alphabetized as one giant list. This is utterly wrong and very irritating for anyone who uses stacks. The previous version of Evernote presented a perfectly sensible and nicely formatted list of available notebooks that clearly showed which ones were inside a stack (by indentation) and which were not.

Is this really what the designers wanted?

Hi.  I'm guessing this is down to the fact that altering part of a big code base a like moving a can at the bottom of a huge pile,  and the reason for the phrase "if it works,  don't fix it..."  If only we knew which of the 25 or so recent editions of v10 you were actually using,  plus maybe your device and OS,  someone could possibly do something about that.  Or you could raise a support ticket.  Just sayin'

We users in the forum can’t read the designers mind.

To me it seems a grouping of notebooks as they are placed together in stacks by the user is a no brainer. But it means reading the stacks information in addition, and rearranging the notebooks sequence accordingly

If you want to reach EN, issue a support ticket.
