Can't Delete Notes from 'Trash'...!

I have several notes in the Trash and when I go there to delete them the note title is showing but the details are grayed out and the lines are scanning, as if updating. When I try to select a note or notes for deletion I can't. When I try to "Empty the Trash" I get an error message that tells me to try later. How do we solve this problem...?

On which OS are you having this problem ?

Windows 11 + Evernote app, not the online version -- surprisingly, the web version has no problem with the Trash. I'm beginning to wonder if I should not clear any cahes, and then perhaps uninstall and reinstall the desktop version.

You can try this:

1. Go to File > Sign Out [name] from the menu bar.
2. Select the "Remove my Evernote data from this device" option, then click Sign out.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Sign back in to Evernote
