Issues with Web-based Subscriptions for users in India

Hi All,

Evernote is currently working with its credit card processor to come into compliance with the recent Reserve Bank of India (RBI) mandate for auto-renewing subscriptions.

While we work to address this, we will be unable to process new or renewing credit card transactions for subscriptions based in India, and we are advising all customers to upgrade through iTunes (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Please click here to learn more.

If your subscription is currently active or pending renewal, you may need to cancel your subscription and allow it to downgrade to Free service prior to resubscribing via either app store.

Here are the next steps for this:

  1. Navigate to your Evernote Account Settings and view the Account Summary.
  2. Under Account on the left, click Billing.
  3. At the bottom of the Billing page, select **Cancel your Evernote subscription**.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Downgrade to Free
  5. Select a reason for canceling the subscription.
  6. Click the Cancel subscription  button.

Your subscription won't change until your current billing cycle ends. When your subscription runs out, none of your data will be lost, and all of your content will still be accessible.

If you could use any assistance in upgrading to paid service via either iTunes or Google Play, please reach out directly to @Shane D..
