How to access old Evernote account with old company email address

Hello, 
I tried to access my old Evernote account associated with my previous company email address however it said it needed to verify my identity and sent a message to the accounts email address. As mentioned, i no longer work at this company  but i really need some of the notebooks saved within this account . How can i access them these now? Is there additional security i can do to access the old account without using the old email address?
