Couldn't save new notes in Android app (RESOLVED)

Just noting in the forums here a problem and the fix in case it helps others.

I was finally forced to upgrade to EN 10 on my Android (was resisting due to bad reviews) and after the upgrade, the first thing I noticed was that I couldn't save a NEW note. I could save an existing note if I changed it, but no new notes would be accepted.  This is what that looked like:

 

The resolution turned out to be:

• Set a new default notebook (an existing one) and then was able to create AND save a note without any issues.
• Then I set previous notebook back to being the default and that worked too.
• NOTE: I had to close the Android app between these settings changes to make sure the new default notebooks took effect.

 

Again, just noting this for posterity in case it helps.
