lucthevenoz 0
Before moving a note to a notebook (including when creating the note), that notebook must lose its lock and change from grey to black in the "move to notebook..." window. Evernote (10.18) seems to be doing some heavy cleanup work before moving the note. On very large folders, that may take a few dozen seconds on my iMac. In the example below, the folder I want to move to contains 8067 notes and I must wait more than 20s before I can click and go ahead. Strangely, the cleanup must be repeated after just a few hours. This slows me down extremely. How can I accelerate the process? What can Evernote do to improve, please? Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,103 Posted August 17, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 17, 2021 Maybe it has to do with the new 10.19 version, but on my Mac the grey turns black so fast that I can hardly see the grey any more. You can install 10.19 and see if it is better for you as well. Link to comment
lucthevenoz 0
Thank you for the tip. It seems that 10.19 solves the issue I had with 10.18. While 10.19 has been available for download for a good 10 days, it is not yet updated through the App Store... Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,103 Posted August 18, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted August 18, 2021 Looking at the official release note by EN, 10.19 was released this Monday, appr. 36hrs from now. AppStore release can show up to a short week later. In general I advise to use the direct download instead. The AppStore version runs in a sandbox, which can cause problems collaborating with other apps. Link to comment
