Sort Order choice for Task Widget

I want the tasks in the widget to be listed in the same order as I have them in the Tasks sidebar/slide-out (eg the notes are alphabetic). 

I do this because I have a Note for tasks that I prioritized for getting done today and have started it with a '*' so it sorts to the top.  

I saw the widget has its own mind, and sort them its own way (which I read was designed in as it trys to decide for me what is important, eg tasks with due dates are first, etc).  I think the user should be in control and be able to choose their own sort order, which most easily (at first) would be to take the order they are found in the Tasks slide-out.

I totally agree with Grant on this.

I run marketing projects and tasks are often the same: Finalize visual - for example.

In the tasks sidebar you can order by note, so there you know what you are talking about, in the widget you are blind.

In addition, the tasks are NOT in chronological order. I need to open the tasks notebook to see what task is due next.

I agree it would be very helpful to be able to match the task sorting on the task widget with the taskbar. Seems odd that it does not already work that way.
