Evernote has become unstable

ever since the last update my Evernote has moved notes from one notebook to another, lost text in notes and at times fails  to display the content of a notebook.

I have rebooted several times, uninstalled and reinstalled the program and at this point I am ready to find a substitute for Evernote.

Any suggestions as to a fix?

Easiest fixes in ascending order are:

• sign out of Evernote and back in
• power device off and back on
• uninstall Evernote / restart device / reinstall

Anything special on the network ? 

Security software, Firewall etc. ? If yes, tried to disable it ?

How fast is your internet connection ?

Internet connection is good - I have PC Matic but have had it for years - no real changes. I have tried to remove the program and reinstall with PC Matic off but same issue. No problems with any other software.

What you describe makes me think of a intermittent internet connection.

Is the computer connected via WiFi ?

To locate the issue I would try a cable connection to the router. Then get a speed measurement app (I use Ookla Speedtest).

Measure your Internet speed, and watch out for Jitter, Latency and Packet Loss (all the lower the better). Maybe write them down.

Disconnect the cable, try the same trough WiFi. If there are many WiFi networks around, measure at different times of the day. When everybody watches Netflix, all WiFi shares bandwidth and suffers. Compare the results by cable and WiFi.

Internet connection is good - I can use the online version with no problem.
