How can I save my choices in the image editor?

It's really annoying to always having to choose the options that I want, because whenever you open the image editor to edit an image, all the choices reset to the defaults like below:

The pointer, the color, the line's thickness...

is there a way to save my choices? so it automatically picks up my last choices by default, that would be so helpful, if it doesn't exist yet, should I request it in the request a feature forum?
