engberg 89
It appears that there's a problem with the note in your account with this title:"Evernote shared notebook: ralph's notebook"Could you try making a small edit in this note on your Mac client and then try to sync again? Thanks Link to comment
mdave 1
Oh, wow. You're correct. I had not synced the shared notebook, but had clippered the web page for it. I tried changing it (the title, and adding some text to the body) but that didn't work. I deleted the note and I'm back in business. Thanks for the help. Link to comment
johanisma 0
Hi,Did you find a solution to your problem ? I've been having the same for 2 months now !Thanks,Johan Link to comment
mdave 1
Hi again engberg,I can't find my Activity Log under Help ! Where else can it be ?Thanks !Johan, are you looking under the drop-down menu "Help" on the Evernote app? Do you see "Activity Log"? Link to comment
engberg 89
Do you recall how you clipped that page to your account? E.g. did you do it from Safari using our native elephant icon, or did you do it from Chrome or Firefox? Link to comment
mdave 1
I did it from Safari with the elephantine clipper. Also, I clipped it twice, consecutively (being in a hurry and not remembering if I had previously). If it matters any, EN was getting sluggish, and after having move the two ralph notes to the trash, and emptying the trash, eventually became unresponsive and had to be force quit. Also, if it matters, I'm one of the ones reporting the long hang n load time (about 20 minutes) with the 2.0 beta (currently 115692) on my MacBook with Leopard. Dave, I appreciate your earnestness in debugging. Link to comment
engberg 89
And was this on your (slow) Leopard system, or your fast 10.6.5 system? Link to comment
engberg 89
Same thing ... check under: Help > Activity Log...after a failed sync. Link to comment
engberg 89
johanisma - please open a support inquiry at the bottom of:https://www.evernote.com/about/contact/support/Your old data is still on your computer, but if you need to get those unsynchronized notes, it would take a few steps to restore that old DB and then run the old version of Evernote to get them out. engberg 89
What version of OS X do you have?Check under: Help > Activity Log...for more details. Link to comment
mdave 1
I made the mistake of linking to a shared notebook:http://www.evernote.com/pub/ralph/noteb ... 76abb3ca83The notebook does not appear in Evernote web nor in the Mac client, and it is not listed in the shared notebooks section of preferences.. Every sync from my client (2.0 beta) takes a long time and errors out with can't sync to ralph's notebook, invalid content. Is there someway to reverse this? I don't really used shared notebooks and was just trying it out. Here's what I think is the relevant part of my activity log:2010-12-09 21:08:53 0x2e876210 [ENSyncEngine] INFO: Syncing note 'Evernote shared notebook: ralph's notebook' [(null)]2010-12-09 21:09:08 0x70d720 [ENQuotaUsageLevelIndicator] DEBUG: -[ENQuotaUsageLevelIndicator generateCachedImages]: 0x158d91202010-12-09 21:09:21 0x2e876210 [ENAppController] ERROR: EXCEPTION: EDAMUserException(errorCode:2,parameter:"Note.content")2010-12-09 21:09:21 0x2e876210 [ENAppController] ERROR: 0x60419a 0x97263e3b 0x615db 0x17b05f 0x179a91 0x16fb26 0x186d5f 0x91dcfdfd 0x91dcf9a4 0x92767155 0x927670122010-12-09 21:09:21 0x2e876210 [ENSyncEngine] ERROR: exception adding note 'Evernote shared notebook: ralph's notebook' to server2010-12-09 21:09:21 0x2e876210 [ENSyncEngine] ERROR: EDAMUserException(errorCode:2,parameter:"Note.content")2010-12-09 21:09:21 0x2e876210 [ENSyncEngine] INFO: Syncing note 'Evernote shared notebook: ralph's notebook' [(null)]2010-12-09 21:09:58 0x2e876210 [ENAppController] ERROR: EXCEPTION: EDAMUserException(errorCode:2,parameter:"Note.content")2010-12-09 21:09:58 0x2e876210 [ENAppController] ERROR: 0x60419a 0x97263e3b 0x615db 0x17b05f 0x179a91 0x16fb26 0x186d5f 0x91dcfdfd 0x91dcf9a4 0x92767155 0x927670122010-12-09 21:09:58 0x2e876210 [ENSyncEngine] ERROR: exception adding note 'Evernote shared notebook: ralph's notebook' to server2010-12-09 21:09:58 0x2e876210 [ENSyncEngine] ERROR: EDAMUserException(errorCode:2,parameter:"Note.content") Link to comment
johanisma 0
Alright actually I wasn't using the last version of the app so there was no 'Activity Log' under Help !So now I updated my version but I lost all my notes that hadn't been synced because of the 'Content is not valid'. Any idea about how to get them back ? Link to comment
