Word Count & Citations

Hello,

I love evernote and long time user but two features i've been desperately wanting for a loooooonnnngggg time is:

1. Word Count
   • preferably one that appears as updating as typed in the note somewhere, like at the bottom
2. Citations
   • Really want a citation formatter like word has. Would save so much time!

It's not that I don't have apps for that, it's simply a feature request for Evernote. I like Evernote and use it for a lot. The features/suggestions are what would make it more useful for me.

There is a word count in the note information window (ctrl-shift-I) but it certainly doesn't include any of your preferable features.

EN is tuned for simply formatted notes, not for writing elaborate text.

For works that make use of citations specialized writing apps would be my first choice. Scrivener or Ulysses are probably good starting points when looking for solutions.
