How to stop "Update?" window from grabbing the screen?

I use Evernote on my work computer, usually in a window in the background. I'll be screen-sharing some work, and Evernote will jump to the front of my screen with the "Update?" request.

1) No. Stop asking me to update, seemingly every day. It's a notepad application. I don't need more updates from you than I get from my operating system.

2) Stop grabbing my screen and jumping to the front. Evernote is not malware, it shouldn't act like it.

Rant over. Please consider the user experience....

Why don't you simply update, and that is it ?

There were other posts where logging out helped. Can't confirm, I rarely see the update message.
