You are not missing anything - this is the current expected behavior with tasks. EN has mentioned that they are looking for a solution that hides completed tasks. I can delete a note and it removes it from the tasks view, but that isn’t always ideal. I have notes that remain active and tasks are added and completed from time to time. It would be nice to not have to delete and restore notes based on whether they have tasks just so that they show up in the task view ONLY when they have active tasks. Link to comment

There is always a blank task left behind in the note. I type 1 letter in the note so that I can delete it and that removes the note from the list without deleting the note. 1 Link to comment
