Screen capture grabs desktop image

I am running Big Sur, 11.4 and Skitch Version 2.9 (265153).

 

When I take a screen capture it grabs the wall paper not the actual thing I wanted. I have check permissions in Security & Privacy and screen recording was enable for Skitch. This started about two weeks ago.

 

Any ideas?

I've been running Skitch since it started and I just started having this issue after the most recent Mac update.  Mac and Skitch software are up to date.  Permissions in Security and Privacy and Screen recording are enabled for Skitch.  

Same exact issue and nobody from Skitch is addressing it.

But the answer is enabling Skitch Helper in addition to Skitch in the Privacy and Security section- Screen Capturing- Check Skitch and check Skitch helper.
