notebooks don't show

Notebooks don't show in the notebook list. Also can't choose a notebook when setting up a widget.

Don't know if this is your problem - but my notebooks were not showing unless I hovered over the notebook icon - which did not allow me to drag and drop notes into different notebooks.    I finally tried going to view and choosing "zoom out" and tada - my notebooks now show and stay in the sidebar.
