How to go back to last window?

I cannot see any Back arrow or way to go back to what I was just reading.

Is there a  way as it is a drag having to try and remember what it was and in what Notebook etc.

Difficult to answer without knowing which platform you are using. On the desktop versions there are left and right arrow icons at the top of the sidebar.
