After Logging In, There is a "Sorry, we’re having some trouble loading Evernote Web." and i tried Reloading it's still error

Recommended Posts

I have exactly the same issue.

I cannot login since Monday. And I use it only the web version, so I am sure it is not the "too many devices" issue (BTW, even if this were the issue, the user should be able to log in to delete one or more devices, right?).

I tried using Chrome, Firefox and Edge. No way to log in.

I was using Evernote to take notes on a course I am following, and now I am stuck because I cannot access my notes or take new ones, this is very annoying.

This seems to be a recent issue specifically with Chrome. I've had this same error for at least a week (maybe 2?) but only via the Chrome browser. I'm able to access Evernote Web via Edge and Firefox using the same URL, username & password.

If this was a device limit issue, the site (or app) would give the option to "unsync a device" (or upgrade). This specific error only provides the option to reload, which goes right back to the same error every time.

As a workaround (although I prefer web view in Chrome) I've installed the Evernote Windows app (https://evernote.com/download) and have been able to access notes there. Once the issue is resolved, I'll just "uncync" the Windows app and go back to my usual Chrome tab. :)

If anyone has figured this out I'd love to hear about it. I'm experiencing this in both Brave and Chromium browsers. It still works in Firefox, but I haven't liked using that browser for quite a long time now. I'm a premium user. In my Brave browser, I dropped the shields for Evernote, cleared my cache, disabled adblocker, disabled all plug ins and all that noise, but still Evernote won't load. I'm on a Linux desktop so I don't have access to a desktop client. A real stumper, this one.

Please no multiple posting.  I’ve deleted the others.

same here. what is the solution for this?

device limit is not the problem, just using android and web.

chrome is not the problem. it worked until 3 days ago. did non updates on chrome. does not work on firefox as well.

deleted cache, tried login/logout, tried privacy window.

evernote status says no current issues.

what is this? A/B testing from evernote to urge someone to pay?

So, Evernote won't work for you in Chrome OR Firefox? Last I checked, mine still worked in Firefox and it's working in the Chromium browser, as well. That' goofy because Chromium has the same base as Brave, where I'm having my problem. Like you, I tried all the proposed fixes, clearing data and all that. Nothing works. I just see those stupid shapes bouncing around before I get the error message. Almost no chatter on this problem that I've found, so it seems like it's just a few of us experiencing the issue. Maddening. I'm a paid user of Evernote but my request for help has not been answered in three days. Once again, we have to start eyeing the Evernote alternatives.

We have some threads about a bad DNS resolution, which makes it impossible to reach the Server (Comcast was mentioned).

Try access through a VPN or a mobile hotspot. If this works, that’s the likely cause.

Interesting. I hadn't heard about any of that. Thanks for the insights. I'll check that out.

Yeesh. Because of PinkElelphant's observations, I went to try Evernote on a laptop I have sitting around running off wifi. Turns out Evernote works fine in the Brave browser installed in there. For the hell of it, I checked the current version of the browser and saw that it was 1.64.109. Back on my regular machine, I checked the browser version and it was waaaaay behind. Apparently, it hasn't been auto updating. I manually updated the browser and, wouldn't you know it? Evernote works fine now. Seems like I should have thought of this days ago, but I was thinking of it as an Evernote problem. My bad. Anyone experiencing this might try updating to the latest browser version.

Not working for me on FFox, just updated it to 115.9.1esr (64 bit) on OSX 10.12.6 (Sierra). I've been forced away from the desktop client (by EverNote client updates) so the web client is the only option now and I've struggled with this error for some weeks now.

Just tried Opera and all I get there is a blank white screen...!

Getting pretty cheesed off with EN these days...

Any more suggestions?

These are the system requirements for EN. FF 115 should work - minimum is 111.

Opera needs at least ver. 94.

Which message exactly do you get ? Running ad blocker, DNS filters or other security apps / extensions ?

Opera is at 12.1.2

Attached PNG of error page that appears quite soon after requesting login - reload does the same after the moving weird things...

Ver 94?? I've looked on the Mac AppStore for Opera but it's not there... I normally get notified if a Mac app get's an update from the store, maybe as it comes with OSX anyway?

I've found & downloaded ver 109 from https://www.opera.com/browsers but not installed it yet as not sure its going to work on my older Mac OSX (10.12.6)? I think it needs OSX 10.13 looking at the Opera site... so stuck on that front...

As far as I know I do not run DNS filters (?)

I have 4 ext installed (see attached png).

No security apps, no idea over ad-blocker, not seeing it listed in FFox settings so assume not...?

Same error here this morning. Had same problem a few weeks ago. Very frustrating when you use Evernote to run your business.

I run EN on Safari and Firefox. I never encounter this problem.

This speaks against an EN problem. Networking issue can be local, or with the ISPs network. We had for example some posts maybe 2 weeks ago that were all related to Comcast as ISP.

You can try to setup a personal hotspot with your phone, and connect your PC to it. Or if available use a VPN to exclude your ISPs influence. A notebook can be taken to a public WiFi as well to find out if access works from there. This is not meant for permanent use, but to isolate the problem.

EN works fine in Chrome on same machine. Hotspotted via my iPhone and get same thing: works in Chrome but not in Firefox. I also tried changing DNS per other threads discussing this same issue and no luck: works in Chrome but not in Firefox. I was getting this error maybe a month ago and after 4 or 5 days EN mysteriously started working again in Firefox. Not any more :(

Thanks for trying. I'm on 10.83.5 web client. When I tried to open EN in Firefox this morning and it threw the error, I immediately tried it in Chrome got the notification for 10.83.5. Maybe they broke something in this version? Will be interesting to see if 10.83.5 works for you.....when u get it

Possibly yes, there is not much of a QA for new releases to talk about these days.

Simply need to wait until I get the latest version - no way to force it on the web client.

Muchas gracias!

thx!

tried on chrome, also with mobile hotspot -> same error.

tried in firefox, also with mobile hotspot -> same error.

tried in privacy mode as well -> same error.

or EN wants to force their users to pay this way.

not useable/reliable.

So based on other suggestions I tried accessing the web version in another house over wifi and it still failed as other have reported... I then tried to access over my iPhone hotspot and that failed in the same way. So I don't seem to be able to access the web version at all now - very disappointing. I've a LOT of info on EN and although I can get to it via my phone it's a real pain... I need a decent sized screen.

I can feel a switch to another note taking app coming on... unless there's an other suggestions out there to try?

Is it worth emailing EN for help?

evernote is laggy, slow and now locks their web version. unbelievable.

Have you tried using a VPN as suggested earlier?
