(Archived) Evernote widget on HTC desire android 2.0 does not appear

Hey!

I am using the HTC Desire firmware - android 2.0 froyo. I just got the evernote app yesterday and everything was working fine, when suddenly today the widget disappeared from the list of desktop widgets. The program crashed before that and I had to reinstall it. The notes are updating normally now but the widget is still not there. Any suggestions?

I had problems updating the app (HTC Legend, 2.0). It downloaded but then disappeared from the list. I could not open or use the widget. The widget was still there though. I had to download again and reinstall. All user data (logon) was still there.

I would suggest you download again, either delte and reinstall or try what I did.

Just had the same problem

I did uninstall then I installed again.

Bam ! The widget is now available. But then I noticed that App2SD wanted to move the app to SD card, I did it, and widget disapeared. So I think that this is the problem.

I've had the same problem:

HTC Desire + Froyo.

- I download it.

- The widget is there.

- I move the application to SD card

- The widget dissapears.

Is is not possible to use the widget having the application installed on the sd-card?

No, my understanding is that you can't display a widget for any application installed on the SD card. I.e. this is an odd limitation of the operating system.
