Notebook disappeared and isn't in trash

I'm not sure what happened or where I went wrong or if the app went wrong but; my most important notebook just disappeared and I'm not able to find it anywhere. It would be so helpful if it could somehow be retrieved.

Okay, figured something out. The notebook itself was disassembled I guess. The individual notes that were a part of the notebook were all in trash. Tedious work but at least I was able to recover those important notes!
