No transparency setting in PDF highlighter

Hello Evernote team,

I've recently purchased Premium subscription in hope to annotate my PDFs. Though, highlighter marker tool (even with a yellow color) obscures the text.  The text becomes difficult to read, which takes away the major reason behind my subscription.  Would you kindly be able to either make the highlighters more translucent? Or, even better, to add a translucency control to it, please?

The highlighter colors are all "pastels". How can I adjust to the bright colors as in the Sharpie highlighters I use in my bullet journal?
