Old tags not cleared in clips

Evernote 10.9 on Android 10 

 

When clipping a note (either by sharing a web page, or a PDF), the tags from the previous clip are kept and I see no way of removing them from the list. So I have to save the clip, wait for it to finish syncing, then go back into the note, and remove the tags I don't want.

Is there a better way to do this that I'm just not seeing?

Same vexing issue here. Thinking if switching to OneNote.

I'll be staying on Evernote 8 until this issue is resolved.
