Web clips to notes or notebooks - what is Right

Hey everyone,

I'm new to Evernote and so far I've created different notebooks for my needs. Eg content, images, linkedin etc . When I find an interesting linkedin post or image I just clip it directly to the notebook and create a tag for it so I can search for it later. 

Now I hear a lot of discussion on notes and I've never created a note. I always thought if you web clips something to a notebook it gets considered as a note anyway. 

So is what I'm doing correct and does it work or do I have to create 1 note per clip...etc.. 

A bit confused please help

A new note is created whenever you clip something to EN.
