How can I lock my note to be view-only note?

How can I lock my note to be view-only note? to avoid accidental editing.

I'm wondering. Is this feature even available?

I have wanted this feature for years. Evernote team please answer us. It is a "must have" feature. Copy the note is not the answer. Do you guys have this or not. I give speeches directly from my tablet and carry it while I talk. Accidentally touching and moving text is frustrating. Just have the edit feature to be turned off and on. Can it happen? Chime in folks!!!

This feature doesn't exist. 

If you want to be sure that this idea is seen by Evernote then use the Feedback option in the application of submit a support ticket.

To avoid accidental editing on mobile clients (you mentioned a tablet …), there is a setting in the mobile app settings: Settings, Notes, Edit protection. It protects the notes against entering editing mode with one click. You will need a double tap to enter edit mode. When enabled it is a general setting for all notes.
