[Troubleshooting in Mac OS Catalina 10.15.7] Lag and delay in updating/hanging

Does anyone have issues with this version of the MAC OS Catalina 10.15.7. When you open the note and write in it, it just hangs forever....does nothing and after 5 minutes updates the text you wrote...any edit it is the same response. Any support/help appreciated. Thank you !

My Mac EN apps are both snappy (legacy and v10, but with BigSur). Have you ever checked on your Macs activity monitor what is going on while it is lagging ? v10 uses a lot of system resources, so it depends on your Mac. A dual core with 8GB may choke where a 8 core / 64 will fly.

v10 works from and to the cloud server. How fast is your internet connection?
