(Archived) Mac client sync fails silently

zapnap

Idea

My evernote iPhone app syncs fine with the web and vice-versa. However, the Mac client will refuses to sync data and fails silently when it tries to do so. If I update a note through the web, it *will* appear in the Mac client. But if I then edit that note in the Mac client and save it and explicitly press the sync button, those updates never make it to the web portal. I've tried completely removing Evernote from my system (normally and using AppZapper) and reinstalling it. Same problem. Very frustrated, please help.

This is in a (supposedly) synchronized notebook. In fact, I just created another synchronized notebook to double check. When I do so, and create a new note within that notebook, the note shows up in the web portal. However, no body text is present. It's completely blank. Title and tags that I apply appear to sync though. WTF?
