Clipped notes don't clip in the background

When I clip an item on Android 10 I go through the Evernote dialogs and it tells me it is clipping the item. I switch apps and continue surfing / reading. I find another item to clip and follow the process again. When it get through the dialog it shows the previous clip still being imported. I used to be able to clip multiple items rapid fire and they would all end up imported. Now the import stalls if you don't keep the focus on Evernote.
