therob 7 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 If you want to save one file to evernote on Android it is very simple. Share it to Evernote, a new note pops up and you are done. But what if you want to save several files to one note or save a file in a existing note. This can be very grueling. Workaround 1: Share the files to new notes / Copy the files and put them in the note you want Workaround 2: Save the files on your phone / search the Path where the files are stored / use the Paper Clip icon in the existing note My Idea : if you share a file to Evernote you can choose if you want to save the file to an existing note or a new one.
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 9,003 Posted March 16, 2021 Level 5 Posted March 16, 2021 Best way to do it is to use the desktop client later ... Else it is better to first save everything, create the note and then import the files (your option 2). The first option can lead to duplication, if moving files around and syncing collide.
0 therob 7 Posted March 17, 2021 Author Posted March 17, 2021 Thanks for your Advice but doing it later on Desktop is no option for me. If i have to do everything later on Desktop why i need Evernote on Android. The Workaround should only be Workarounds. I hope for a Solution from Evernote. If you have s similar Problem why don´t you put the Vote Counter 1 up ?
0 ehrt74 240 Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 I'm not sure this is a good idea. I can imagine a lot of people complaining that 'sharing to Android has suddenly become a lot more complicated and this proves that Evernote will go bankrupt tomorrow (or some similar hyperbole)'. I think the paperclip icon in the existing note is the way to go. It's just as easy as using the desktop client.
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 9,003 Posted March 17, 2021 Level 5 Posted March 17, 2021 From the workflow side I think it is easier and more reliable to select files from an open note through the file import function than selecting notes with a pending selection of files. I would be afraid of loosing the selection while searching and selecting the proper note - which easily is a multistep operation. It is simpler the other way around. To create a new note with multiple files selected already works.
