Russell_L 2
The latest version of Evernote appears in my App Store as an available update, but every time I try to update it, I get an "Unable to download/could not install" error message (see attached screenshot). This has been happening for the last several days. The update appears to download (the progress circle nearly completes) and then the error message pops up. I'm currently on version 10.8.4 of Evernote and am using a MacBook Pro 16" and Big Sur 11.2. Any suggestions? Thanks. Link to comment
Russell_L 2
Well, I tried it again just now, and it worked! (I'm now at v10.8.6.) Not sure what happened during my previous attempts, though I did update my OS to 11.2.2 last night (from 11.2), but that really shouldn't have mattered.... Anyway, all is well now! 2 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 7,912 Posted February 27, 2021 Level 5 Share Posted February 27, 2021 Personally I prefer the direct download, and never had an issue. The AppStore runs in a sandbox, which sometimes causes problems. Maybe they were just updating the AppStore when you downloaded.
