How to use Mac OS dictionary within the Evernote app?

I love to quickly highlight words and check the definitions--but when typing in Evernote it doesn't allow this function.

Is there a way to turn on so I can just right click and view "look up" option?

+1 for this one.

Such a simple functionality.

Macs literally supports the url "dict://wordX" to make this happen, it's almost nonsense for Evernote not to have this option after so many years on the market.

On the Mac, get the "PopClip" menu bar helper. It is very powerful little tool. You can configure it to your liking. One of the major options is to select a word, and then in the popclip menu a choice of transactions show. Among them (if activated) will be the Macs dictionary & thesaurus, Alfred, Evernote, a lot of other apps and even a large number of search engines.

More powerful than anything I would expect from EN.
