Searching for a Specific Word Inside a Save Search

I have a number of complex searches--for example, I want notes that have two specific tags and do NOT have one specific tag. In the old version, I could further refine this by searching, just in those results, for the word "taxation" for example within the text of the notes. I can't seem to do that anymore. The instructions for the tax I want to exclude is already in the search box, and if I put the word "taxation" in that search box it knocks out that "-tag" instruction, thus changing the character of the search.

In the old system, I could do this. I did it a lot.

Is there any way in the new system that I could search for a specific word after getting my saved search results? There is no filter option for a word within the text.

I can add <space> search text in the text box after some search syntax from a saved search and it works fine.

Thanks--this works fine.

It's so strange though that so many tasks that were easy to do in the previous version now require awkward workarounds.
