Drawingtablet creating random spikes

Hello!

I am a new user to Evernote, I run the free version for now to see how it fares along with my studying.
For the longest time, I've used a combination of keyboard writing and using a drawingtablet, but it is the first time I try it out in Evernote. My drawingtablet is an old Wacom, but it runs perfectly fine when I draw in programs like Krita and SketchBook. However, when I try to use it in Evernote, everything just... Yeah, see the picture.
Something wierd happens:

When this happens, I lose the cursor function, as if everything in the sides have been highlighted:

And I have to shut down the program, open my taskmaster and end Evernote there too (because just shutting down the program doesn't do it) and then reopen. I've tried three times now, I have restarted both program and PC and I have checked if I had any updates for Evernote - which I didn't, but I did update before starting my studies today. I don't know if it worked before the update. There were also no updates for Windows.

Note that the 'spikes' on the drawing are not at all my doing (but heck, if only I could draw that straight!). The other scribbles that are not completely straight spikes, is me, scribbling further. I also apologize for the large size of the pictures, I can't seem to find where to resize them.

I'd love for some suggestions so I can fix my error here, if possible.

Kind Regards 🙂
