Popular Post gbarry 2,659
Hello! Today we released Evernote for Mac 10.8 (v 10.8.4 build 2349). This release includes some top customer feature requests as well as numerous bug fixes. Please check them out below. It is available now via the Mac App Store and as a direct download version from our website. If you are already running the direct download version, you will see an automatic update sometime soon as we progressively roll out the update and do not need to take any action. New to Mac 10.8 External links in your notes now open the first time you click them Global keyboard shortcut editing is now available via the keyboard shortcuts reference menu. Don’t like the way a global keyboard shortcut is set up? Change it! You can now edit global keyboard shortcuts to find the perfect combination of characters. Access the keyboard shortcuts menu by using Ctrl/Cmd + / We’ve added two new global keyboard shortcuts (you can reference them at any time using the keyboard shortcut reference menu available in the Help menu) Open a new note window from anywhere on your desktop (even if Evernote is in the background) by pressing Ctrl-Opt-Cmd-N on Mac, or Ctrl-Alt-N on Windows Open an Evernote search from anywhere on your desktop (even if Evernote is in the background) by pressing Ctrl-Cmd-E on Mac, or Shift-Windows Key-F on Windows ‘Toggle view’ keyboard shortcuts are now available - cycle through snippets, cards, top list, or side list with just a few keystrokes using Ctrl (Windows) / Shift (Mac) + F5/F6/F7/F8 Lots of tags improvements! You can now drag-and-drop tags in the sidebar to quickly create nested tags (or remove them from their nests). You can now right-click on tags in tags menu for quick access to all the tags options. Drag a note from the note list and drop it onto a tag in the sidebar to apply that tag to the dragged note. If you’ve added a tag to your shortcuts, any tags nested under it will now also appear in that list (it used to only add the added tag, and none of its children) Stability and performance improvements. Fixed highlights: After a note was moved notebooks, editing the Reminder wouldn’t always work Trash pill and “last updated by” would sometimes not be available when a note was in trash Joined Spaces (business feature) wouldn’t appear in the sidebar for a while after they were added Email suggestions in email list wouldn’t always appear after the first email was selected Coming soon: Quickly search and move to different note using a keyboard shortcut (Mac - CMD+J, Windows - Ctrl+Q) Create new audio recordings and playback audio file Dragging and dropping note links and tags directly into your note Global keyboard shortcuts (we’ll remove when we finish, we have one more to implement - quick paste) Additional export options Import folder 6 6 1 Link to comment
gbarry 2,659
For now, global keyboard shortcut editing is a little different in Evernote 10 than in Evernote Legacy. In version 10.8, you can double click or hover over a shortcut to access a three dot menu that lets you edit, revert, or disable completely the associated shortcut. Simply slide out the keyboard shortcuts reference menu--accessible via the Help Dropdown or using the shortcut Ctrl+ / (Windows) CMD + / (Mac). Wow, that is a very large GIF. 2 Link to comment
