If I upgrade to Premium, will I be able to retrieve the past note history of my notes BEFORE UPGRADE?

Hello guys. 
I accidentally deleted and change an important note. 
As I searched, the only way to have note history is by level up to Premium.
But is there any way for me to retrieve my history back if I go to Premium now?
or the note history date only working after the user subscribe to premium?

Example: I want to access old files in 2019.
