(Archived) Evernote 3 On Top

It's really absolutely essential to have an option to keep Evernote 3 on top (on the desktop) at all time. I'm often drawing information from EN or bringing info into it from a Word or PDF file, and every time I click on the other file, EN 3 closes. Very annoying! This is not one of the options that can be dropped. I hope that others will join me in making clear that we consider this a primary option if we are to make a commitment to EN 3.

I know this doesn't directly address your question as far as Evernote is concerned, but it sounds as if you work with just one monitor. I know there are many factors (like money, space, etc) that prevent people from buying a second monitor, but if it's at all feasible you should get yourself at least a second monitor. In a work environment they pay for themselves very quickly in terms of increased productivity.

This is especially true with Evernote, where you can have a full view of both it and your other application(s) without sacrificing any useful screen real estate. That said, having the option to pin EN to always be on top would be a nice feature, and should be trivial for the development team to implement.

If you don't have the money for an additional monitor, you can use an additional virtual desktop. It's not the same as having them both up simultaneously, but it does help in many instances.

Thanks for the tip about Deskpins. I didn't know about that program, but it seems to work, keeping Evernote 3 on top.

Your welcome. I tend to keep it in my little toolbox, for when there's something that I really want on top. I like it because it's small, does one thing, and does it well
