How to select multiple texts at once?

Hi, I'm a newbie here. My questions are:

I can't select multiple-texts by holding 'ctrl' button like in MS Office Word application.

And is there a 'match properties' shorcut/button so I can format multiple-text at once.

AFAIK of this is possible with EN/editor. This is rather more a feature of word processing apps like MS WORD.
