Version 10.5.7 exceedingly slow

I find this version to be essentially unusable. It is very slow to load. Often I have to click on the evernote shortcut several times to even get it to load. Other times it loads to the sys tray and I have to right click, Open evernote using the sys tray icon. Often it slows down or 'locks up' when I am trying to look at notes or edit notes. I've dropped back to version 6.x to be able to use the app.

I'm having the same issue on the Mac. It's running extremely slow, and i find myself having to click a note more than once to go to it. When i got to create a new note I now have to wait for two loading screens. It takes about 5-7 seconds to create a new note. Move notes to the trash takes about the same time. 
This is killing my workflow!

Couldn't agree more, It takes ages to load initially then to do anything within the app is so laggy, it's almost unusable.
