Text formatting shortcuts not working

I'm using v10.5.7 on Mac desktop and the following shortcuts don't work:

• Text underline
• Text italics
• Bullet point

However, strangely, the shortcut for text bold works.

For me, text italics and text boldface do not work. (I.e. ctrl+i and ctrl+b.)

Text underline does work – kindof. It doesn’t quite get the right text and then the highlighted part jumps ahead somewhere on the paragraph. (Well the behavior is a little more complex than this; depends if part was already highlighted; but it’s so weird!)
