Note found in search, content not displaying except for thumbnail?

After upgrading to macOS Big Sur, my notes are not showing the content in the full window.  I can search, and find my notes, and see the small icon with the content, but nothing shows up in the large window.   And when I click on the 'mini' note I get a blank window that should be showing the note...   Have included a screen capture.  You can see I have selected a note, but it does not appear in the main window to edit or even see in larger format.   Another problem, when I select 'about Evernote' from the menu the popup is blank.   I expect there is some connection between the two bugs...

Sigh, so closed it and reopened it, and it turns out it was hung updating to version 10.5.7.   things seem to be normal now...

 

So, 'never mind'.
