Where has the Menu Bar Helper gone? Please bring that back

The Menu Bar Helper in this new 10.0 version does not work.

I cannot drag files into this anymore.

The work I do requires this function. 

Please fix this.

The version 10 menu bar helper doesn't support this at this time. If you require it, I'd recommend downloading and installing the Legacy version, which still allows it.

Thanks yes, I had to instal Legacy for that and quite a few other issues I'm having with version 10. My concern is that eventually I'll need to update, but worried about whether all these bugs will be taken care of in future versions......

Yes, a couple of key functions are missing from the upgrade. I am using the evernote legacy hoping they bring back quick access icon to the mac toolbar and the ability to record from the quick access note feature.  I won't do the paid upgrade either until these key features are back.

The helper is available, but only when the EN client is started. It can run in the background.

This is different from the legacy app, where the helper could be started independent from the client.
