PDFs Do Not Open and Display in V10

I created a note in V10 and dragged and dropped a couple of PDF files into the new note. Instead of opening them and displaying their contents, they show as a place marker for the file . If I double click on them, they open. I did not see an VIEW option regarding displaying PDF contents. 

I am a premium user.

Right-clicking the pdf gets me inline display options

I do not have the same options when I right-click the PDF:

When I click on the 3 dots above the PDF I see 'VIEW AS Attachment' checked off, but I cannot uncheck it:

I am having the same problem with some of my migrated notes.

If I Edit and Annotate I cannot see the content . EN say the pdf is encrypted - which it is not. 

Strangely the note preview is showing the first page of the pdf.
