Images in my Notes do not load

In fact I don’t care, not about PlayStore feedback, not about v8/v10 questions. I am a user, among other users, and when I can help I do.

If v8 does the job for you, use it. If v10 does it, use it. I am on mobile using iOS clients, there is no downgrading option in iOS. You love it or you hate it, but you use it. Fortunately the iOS client is running pretty good. But on desktop I have v10 and legacy installed, and use both. What works for you ? I don’t know, hope it does.

We should in the forum just accept that our forum admin is not the company he is working for. He is mainly here for us users, feeding us with information, keeping spammers out of the door (not a small feat !) and in some cases catching a ball and dropping it on the right desk in EN HQ. And that is the core of my above answer to your post.

Sleep well, my friend, it must be already the new day in Turkey.

Just an update to this thread: new EN 10.15: tested on two devices = no change. Bug still persistent there. In the change log they only concentrate on new features (task improvements). Not being able to see the images captured via Evernote is the show stopper before all enhancements they made 😞

I would really like to see some new words from @Shane D.that there is any work on this going on. We have this bug since 10.0.

Thanks for all confirming this bug here in the forums and in play store comments. I would strongly please all affected users to raise tickets on this to give Evernote more input and logs to find that out. I don't know what prevents them from displaying simple images but they seem to have a hard time to figure it out (on Android). Your help is very welcome 🙂

I tested around with two devices and version 10.16 which is rolled out right now. Tested - as always for this thread - with fresh installations on middle class Samsung devices (smartphone and tablet). Opening heavily image loaded notes throughout my notebooks. Until now the image displaying never failed with 10.16. Can we have some hopes, that this issue was finally resolved? 🙂

Hi everybody

I have the same problem. I have Android 10 on a Huawei P20 Pro smartphone and my old images do not render after actualizing Evernote to version 10.18. Another problem is that this new version does not allow to create a direct access for a book of notes from the device window, and in general it runs much slower than the previous version. Is there any way to return to the previous version?

In Windows client I created a test note with 2 same pictures. First one is "view as attachment" and the second one "view as image":

I can open both pictures on my Windows client without a problem.

On the Android client 10.18 (1118144) if I click on the attached picture nothing happens. File is just downloaded (no more cloud icon) and it won't open. If I click on the second image it opens as expected.

Screenshot_20211014-120845.thumb.png.82c062ba18633f3082558e28bbeb6163.png

Basic function that is not working.

PDF files on other hand are working fine.

Does anyone else has this problem?

Yes I did. I posted the problem here in the forum so that others can jump in with the issue (or am I the only one with this issue?) and because it's easier to explain here with pictures. I copied a link to the support team when I opened a support ticket.

Waiting already 7 days to get in contact with "technical support team". 🙄

Have you received an automatic mail from EN support, within a few minutes after sending your request ? It tells something about the procedure, may list help documents and most important your ticket number.

If you have not received it, look up your Spam folder.

If there is nothing in Spam neither, the ticket has not been received, and the machine has not yet started to run on your issue.

The usual time to get an answer from support personally after the initial email currently is appr. one labour day, maybe 2 at most.

Link to comment

Contacting support was not a problem. As you said they contact you back quite quickly. But support stated this: "I'm transferring this ticket to our technical support team who will continue to assist you."

Technical support still did not contact me to at least confirm that they know about the image issue.

  • Level 5

Hmmm - this team is probably much smaller than 1st level support. They are no coders neither. They sort things out in a way to identify the root cause for the devs and maybe a workaround.

You can always send another mail to ask for the next step. Make sure to include the ticket number into the mails title.

Funny thing... Today a "Technical Support Specialist" contacted me, but he didn't understood my problem, but first contact support person did. Technical support said it was a "image rendering issue". Clearly it is not. 😀

Anyway... here is more precise description of my problem:

On Windows Evernote client (v10), when an image is set for "View Option: Attachment" and "View Option: Image", it's possible to view the image either way when you click/double click on the picture. In the case of "View Option: Image" the picture opens inside the Evernote Windows client. In the case of "View Option: Attachment", the picture is opened in the Windows default picture (.png, .jpeg) viewing program (so outside the Windows Evernote client). In any case, no matter in what "View Option" state is an image, the picture can be opened (I can view it!).
Nonetheless, on my Android device (latest version - Evernote client v10.19 (1118424)), when an image is set for "View Option: Image", it's possible to see the image (I can click on it and it opens in full screen inside the Evernote Android app!), but if it's set as "View Option: Attachment", the image cannot be opened at all (I can not even view it!). The Evernote client does not open the picture file in the client or allow me to open it with my own 3rd party app that I have it installed on my Android phone. If I change "View Option" from "Attachment" to "Image" the file is there. I can click on it and I can open it inside the Evernote app (fullscreen). It's just opening of the image file, that is the problem.
So... why is this a huge problem? Because if I want to include a photo inside my note and I don't want it to take a lot of note space I change an image to "View Option: Attachment". This way it take the least amount of space inside the note. So now if I want to actually see this photo on Android, first I have to change "View Option" to "Image" and then I can see what is on my photo. Then I have to change "View Option" to "Attachment" just to make note content more compact again. This is a bizarre issue.

Here is also a video of the issue: https://photos.app.goo.gl/c68gDpmxpJRrZu619

Anyone else is having this same issue?

@PinkElephant How is this solved on iOS? Does a picture open, when you have it inside a note as "View Option: Attachment"?
Link to comment

Hi @matej1990! I just tested the described issue and can confirm it for my Android devices on 10.19 as well. I cannot open an image which is embedded as attachment by just clicking on it as you described. Clearly a simple bug as converting to imbedded image instantly shows the picture. Has to be fixed.

Just clean reinstalled Evernote on two Samsung devices with EN 10.22 and the image rendering bug is back again 😞

Evernote.thumb.jpg.f27303ae895b83915afe3bde30848a95.jpg

Every note I open denies to show any embedded image. Fun fact: EN 10.22 had no problems showing all these notes prior fresh installing. I am giving up on Evernote for Android. For a paid product, it is ridiculous having to deal with software, that cannot simply show some pictures. Sadly @Shane D. last update on this was in April 2021 would be nice to hear, if anyone is considering to bugfix this finally?!

Hello,

Creating an image on the web page on Evernote, you see the images Screenshot_20211214-090011_Evernote.thumb.jpg.f648e2f9a0bf84fdbbdc7ed763ba0666.jpg

When checking the note on the app, in the overview you see an image, also when you open the note then you see the image

Screenshot_20211214-090550_Evernote.thumb.jpg.7094b0c78039aa8e232bb1145e6e57bc.jpg

However, when checking older notes, you find the image on the web version from evernote, but the image in the app shows

Screenshot_20211214-090712_Evernote.thumb.jpg.b07462d9a8bcf62836f09f502b6c9b18.jpg

So something is propably wrong in the sync between the webinterface and the app?

Update: I crashed again on this bug with the new EN 10.25. Just opened a ticket. The image rendering bug was again instantly confirmed by support, while still not have a time table of a fix! Not being able to fix this basic bug within 14 months shows they got stuck in their new limiting framework. I am afraid there is nothing to expect anymore from this Evernote.

Link to comment

Just to confirm: 10.26 still does not address the image rendering bug nor any news from support about it. I don't know, why they don't care. Same images sometimes are shown, sometimes not (error: could not be rendered properly). Very bad if needed on the go, imagine you want to show a qr code or something and then this... already happened to me. My actual workaround: having a weekly updated import of the most important notes (via ENEX) in Nimbus Note which renders images fast and without probs on the same device. Gives me peace of mind and practice with potential alternative.

Link to comment

They are doing beta test for attachments on Windows. Maybe this will solve their image problems on Android. I doubt it, but still there is hope.

I'm also testing (exporting Evernote notes to) Nimbus Note at the moment, because Evernote is REALLY slow with solving bugs/adding back old (working) features on Android. In Nimbus I really like toggle object (collapsible/expandable text) in notes and sub folders. Nimbus is much more customizable and flexible. I like that!

22 minutes ago, Alxa said:

Yeah, about that... Create a toggle object and put image inside it. Then double tap on the picture. 😑 If you move image outside the toggle object all is working fine (image opens up in full-screen).

I am on a Mac 11.6.2 and running EN v10.29.7.

All my screenshots that I had added throughout my notes don't render and when I click on them to open I get a message that it is empty. So I can not download them to be able to view them. This is really painful as I have used EN for many years and have lots of notes that I need.  I hope theyight be able to resolve this and my images (.PNG files) from mac' screen capture are still stored on the server.

Just did a quick test on EN10.28 for Android: Bug still persistent. Especially in notes not viewed on Android for a certain time before installing EN 10 the "images could not be rendered properly" bug occurs on first opening. Later on (hours or days) you eventually can see the images. This also refers to every other type of attachment. You could run into "attachment could not be download/retrieved" (translated from german gui) as well. It does not happen all the time unfortunately. But as always, when it happens it is the worst time 😉 There is still something odd with attachment and images fetching from the server...

Link to comment

Update on freshly updated app to version 10.29: Directly after update bug again/still present. Notes that finally showed the images in 10.28 now again/only show the error message we know instead of the images. This missing reliability is really frustrating. I wonder if EN does sort this out at any given point in future?

I'm late to this conversation because I've never seen the issue. Decided to try and find out why I would be immune when so many others are suffering.

I find that all my notes seem to have PNG images. Is this a problem rendering JPGs only?

Link to comment

The image file type is not restricted to jpeg. Others have shared the error on png files as well here with screen shots. Unfortunately support does not share any additional background so finding a workaround is hard. I wonder if it has something to do with the technical details of the image files themselves at all... maybe it is another issue plaguing a couple devices or accounts hard, others not. (As with the astonishing performance differences we see here between users).

Link to comment

Update from support: I got a second answer for my ticket, now from Shane from tech support. Unfortunately it is only a support template text. Saying the issue is known and worked on. No ETA, no extra information for us (I referred to the forums).

I never had this problem using the Windows client until the latest update 10.33.

If I try to paste a copied image from my Screenshot application I get the error.

A work around, is to paste the image into another program, such as Excel ... then copy it back from Excel and paste it into Evernote. Then it works.

EN 10.31 for Android: Unfortunately this bug still is not addressed (now present EN 10.0-10.31). Always having chills when I am having to show a bar code or something from within a note which is embedded picture. You never know, if it will work this time or not.

UPDATE: The pictures in my notes are now showing up. I didn't really do anything, except tried looking at them again a couple hours later. Also I was no longer on WiFi this time when it worked. I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

Wow just realized I have this problem too after upgrading from my S10e to the S22 Ultra. No images load, except sometimes I see a thumbnail preview. Pictures load fine on Windows desktop. Been happily using Evernote for about 15 years, but this is unacceptable if they have no idea how to fix it. Time to consider other options. 🙁

Just experienced this for the first time in a while. In my case, I was adding both jpg and png images to the desktop version of Evernote (both 10.38.x and 10.39.x to which I updated to moments ago), and some images display fine, and some do not. For clarity, the images which do not display properly look like this, with a triangle with an exclamation mark inside it:

image.png.c10e2bd9f01c8ae4a6d55b576f2c9ccf.pngOn Evernote for Android (v10.34) they display identically as on desktop (i.e. if the image shows fine on desktop, it displays fine on Android, and if it displays as an icon on desktop it displays the same way on Android). I wonder why some images work and some do not?

Now they rolled out 10.37 with a new GUI design for tablets (side bar) ..... and guess what ... boom, first note I open on Android I get the exact same error as with older builds as Paul A. posted. Image rendering bug is back. What is going on with development? Re-opened another ticket (#3548523).

Never ever upgrade to the newest release, stay a few releases behind. Most software you want to update for security issues and such but if you are an experienced evernote user you know to never update to the newest release ever.

1) If you keep your apps on auto update, there is not really a choice. 2) If you don’t, you create a volume of decisions for yourself. I get 15-30 updates pending all of the time, some different between phone and tablet. You really want to read through all the release notes, deciding which to install ? 3) Not updating is the worst decision -at least long term, with all the security issues these days possibly very short term as well.

Link to comment

Yep, with every other app and every other piece of software I have, they are kept up to date and on auto update, but not evernote, that is suicidal with there long and basically perfect history of buggy and bricking updates that everyone wonders how they beta test their updates and the answer over the years seems to be they beta test live with their user base. They don't even offer the most basic service of a roll back option. It is unfortunate to force their customers into this corner, but you have to play defense with evernote or risk paying the consequences.

Are you not following along? This thread and discussion is exactly about the software being the problem. What on earth would make you say such a silly thing?

This entire thread is about software called evernote not working correctly for hundreds of people.

Move along and stop trolling as usual please. Nobody suffering, losing productivity, losing time and money with a bug in evernote gets any relief from you discounting their problems with your condescending derailments of the topic questioning whether someone is having the problem they are taking the time to seek a solution for.

We were lately discussing update policies, not the possible bug which started this thread.

But ok, you seem to be running out of arguments in one discussion, so you meant it was time to swap turfs. Have fun, I don’t discuss issues I don’t have. I never doubt a user who comes to the forum has an issue, and try to help if possible. It may be that I disagree on the specific issue or the discussed root cause, for reasons.

You have a little to go until you can call me trolling … at least your last forum posts here were so far from being helpful to others that answering them in a constructive manner were IMHO public service, sort of. Not updating for fear of updating, what a brilliant deduction. On eye level to commit suicide out of fear of death. That updates are released to (among other reasons) fix issues with the not updated versions narrowly escaped your attention, it seems.

Back to the thread: Your pictures don’t render. Since my pictures do, I am not qualified to issue support tickets about it. What did you say support told you ?

Link to comment

Yes, update policies based on a product that has no roll back feature, so as Alxa has described, he's again a victim of the same bug again. Hence the advice, even though it sucks to have to use such a work around to avoid being victimized again, unfortunately like many of us we never update to the newest release of evernote. It's unfortunate, but there really is no other solution. You updated, now you're bit by the same bug and now you're stuck again. Without a roll back option it is a roll of the dice every time you update evernote.

Now you go ahead and tell us irrelevantly how you always update because you never have any problems with evernote. I'm sure that's a super relevant bit of knowledge for Alxa who is screwed again. 🙄

When people are having a problem telling them you don't have a problem is really helpful in pinkelephant world I guess, but not in everybody else's reality of losing time, money and productivity due to a bug you feel the need to tell the world you don't have. Stop trolling the thread please.

Go blame the PlayStore (or AppStore, just to mention) for their update policies.

Distributing blame seems the foremost target of this thread … I rather think it does not help anybody, and just diverts energy away from solving problems, or work around them. But anyhow, not my game any more. Since I don’t have that problem (thought I mentioned it already).

Link to comment

I have no idea what the heck are you talking about, what has the app store have to do with it?

So you think that the Playstore writes the code for evernote? They just distribute evernote.

Do you think Best Buy makes the iphone because they sell them?

I'm  pretty sure the choice of not providing a roll back function is the software engineers at evernote not the playstore. You really believe the bugs in evernote's software are a result of who distributes it?

Link to comment
  • Level 5

The Play/AppStore only offers the latest version of an app for download, and does not allow a roll back. This is by design of these stores, so yes, it is an issue of the distribution stage, not of the developer.

On Android you can side load an older version as an apk, if you can get hold of one (I mean a non compromised apk, which sometimes is as rare as a snowflake in Death Valley in July), on iOS it is not possible (short of a jailbreak).

See, it always pays to come to the forum - you just learned something (obviously) new to you. Not that the gallantry of your posts here would merit this attention for your forthcoming, just to add this observation.

Link to comment

Sorry, you're confused. (yet again)

A roll back is not a download of an old app, it is a function in the software itself which you refer to as an 'app'.

In the menus of evernote would be a choice to roll back to previous version, this is how it works in any industry that offers a roll back option.

When you download the latest update and choose to update, the app saves a copy of the older version of the app and all your settings, and if you decide you don't like the new update (maybe because a horrible bug just came back yet again) you would open the menu in the software and click on "roll back to previous version." This is pretty much the industry standard process for maybe two decades or so when it comes to software that offers a roll back feature.

Why evernote being one of the buggiest softwares I've ever used doesn't provide this is pretty much on par with a lot of the strange process they employ so it's pretty much par for the course.

Also Evernote, not the playstore decides what app and what version they will offer for distribution. If everynote wanted to offer a version of evernote from 2011 for download through the app store it would just do so, it's not up to google playstore or apple to warehouse past versions of apps.

First the topmost screenshots look like from a VM to me. VMs have a build in ability to roll back, usually to a prior snapshot. This is not the installed program that rolls back, it is the environment that is set back to a prior status.

Second the last screenshot lists beta versions beside release versions. It seems this software is so unstable it needs a rollback. Or it is build to support various versions, maybe for development purposes.
Which is unusual for consumer software, which in general does not allow for a rollback.

Third I was talking about PlayStore and AppStore. This means Android and iOS apps. Your screenshots are from a Windows computer. Again you only prove you move away from a discussion when you run out of arguments. Which seems to happen pretty often.

However, this has moved too far OT. Have a nice day, I have better things to do than follow your erratic line of arguments.

Back to the initial topic. Support answered to my ticket. Nothing new for you guys here 😔

Devs "are working earnestly" on a fix. "No time frame". The standard template texts I always get. Well for 1.5 years now. I am getting tired of this. I once again mailed them some actual observations:  For me force clearing RAM and restarting EN cold fixes the image rendering bug temporarily on the last note I experienced the bug on. The inconsistency of the whole app is devastating me. Considering rolling back to EN 8.13.3 once again... 🤷🏼

Yeah support is of no use at all. Always the same answers. VERY friendly but useless for me. I don't even bother writing to the support any more, because it has no effect. It's almost like talking to the wall. I also don't use beta versions any more (it still feels like I'm a beta user tho 😅).

On my phone I'm using Google Keep much more for writing now. Then from time to time I go on my PC and transfer the writings to Evernote, because Evernote Windows client is fine for me. Android client is still a joke and it will stay that way for some time. It's still easily by far the worst app on my phone. 😔

I don't think that this issue is solely a mobile thing.  I saw it whilst looking over the shoulder of an Evernote staffer.  She had a note which included images. She copied the note content to the clipboard and pasted to a new note and the image did not display in the new note.  She was exchanging the images in the note for new ones so didn't take a moment to notice the issue. But I saw it as plain as day.

I'll try and remember to mention it when I next speak to her.

This is STILL a problem.  AND getting worse.  Months and months of images disappearing in my notes.  Expecially if copied / pasted from one note into another.

Images in my notes will be there for a minute ...and then revert to a link ONLY.  Whether I toggle "view as" to IMAGE or attachment.

It is making me want to re-think Evernote entirely ...even with more than a decade of notes.

Anyone have suggestions?  Thanks!

Wow, we are on EN 10.43 now and it is still cra*. Example from a note I am editing every once in a while. After the new update the image once again is not shown. Maybe it shows tomorrow or the day after again. You will never know. It is ridiculous. As they could not resolve this issue in 2 years I am somewhat hoping that this is connected to their buggy EN10 sync engine. As they are actually working on that to modernize it, I keep fingers crossed that this deal breaker will vanish.

Edit: I rolled back to EN8.13.3 again and voilà: no image issues, lightening sync and download, super fast gui. After two years it is still beyond any comparison to the - on average real world devices - dead slow EN10 framework. Still can highly recommend EN8.13.3 for affected users.

Evernote supports storing screenshots or any other image in a note.  However, some users are having problems with some images not displaying.  This isn't widespread but a problem if it happens to affect you.

Great to hear that EN8.13.3 worked for you @Alxa!  However it appears to be for Android.  Do you (or does anyone) know if there is a MacOS equivalent?  Cheers!

P.S. I am SO SICK and TIRED of my FAVORITE APP for YEARS being the anti-productivity BOAT ANCHOR that is bringing me DOWN all DAY every DAY! (Yes, I use it that much)

I'm running 10.47.7-mac-ddl-public (3730)

The (generally repulsive) Pink Elephant had a point. I wrote iOS vs. MacOS. At least a LITTLE bit of good came from a condescending party crasher.

You ask for iOS, and then you post a version for the Mac.

No, iOS does not allow sideloading. It’s the AppStore, and it’s the current version. Beside this, we run the iOS client 10.43 on a bunch of devices, from vintage 2014 to 2022.

It is the best client ever on that platform, and running snappy on every device 2017 and newer. On the older devices retrieval is ok, simple text operations and clipping as well. No missing or not displaying pictures.

Don't troll this thread like PinkElephant trying to spread miss-information and marginalize users frustrations about a problem that has been going on for over 3 years and has litterally hundreds and hundreds or reported cases by users and multiple threads on this forum. If it's hapening to more than 3 people it's wide spread, this is happening to hundreds and hundreds of people.

If you don't have the issue, that is fine, what is the point of posting on a thread you aren't experiencing the issue?

I'm sorry that you presume to know my intentions. I responded to a specific question from a user at the same time pointing to a wider issue agreeing that it is an issue for those who are affected.

Thoughtful answer @agsteele. No harm no foul.  Thanks for your expertise.  But there definitely do seem to be 100s of people with this specific issue.  It is driving me BATS trying to find workarounds each day on my MacOS version.

Example workaround (in case it's helpful for someone else reading) is to duplicate a note if I need a graphic from it in another note (and then delete everything else from the dupe'd note BUT the graphic and build on it)  vs. cut>paste.  Almost without fail, cut>paste of an image file from one note to another reduces the image to a data blob

This issue affects me quite often.

When I get this from copying an image on one note to another:

image.png.b748ab8287ca9ef50c9dff797e557391.png

I can save it on my local:

image.png.f8a889a30ff00a28c4fb2567d13c3462.png

and then open it in Preview (on my Mac). I then copy it from Preview and paste it back into the same note where the Evernote-copied image could not be displayed. The copy from Preview is displayed just fine. I then delete the un-displayable Evernote-copied image attachment.

For me -- at least in my case -- the un-displayable Evernote-copied image data is there, but Evernote just can't display it inline for some reason.

Edit: I mean, it doesn't happen too often for it to be that big of a pain to me personally, and I think I have a pretty good work-around for myself.

Interestingly for me this issue never occurs on windows legacy and EN8.13.3 for Android. So it seems to be an EN10-only issue. Unfortunately not resolved since the very first EN10 version. I am using 8.13.3 again now happily on Android and never had any issues with images again (nor with the other EN10 symptoms as missing background sync, offline download lasting forever, dead slow gui....). For users highly disturbed by this bug and/or depending on displaying (inline) images maybe a solution as well 🤷🏼‍♂️.

As this topic has been pinned for a quite while and not been marked as resolved - I think there is still hope that EN will consider to dive into that problem at some point in the future...maybe at second birthday 😉

Did some testing on EN for Android 10.46 and could reproduce the bug again. It still shows on freshly created notes (in this case created on desktop). Whereas they show fine on desktop and web, the Android client will not.

Oh come on Evernote, we are seeing this for over two years now 😞

But... Bending Spoons got the hand over Evernote and their claim is:

Yes we, the paying customers deserve a product at least working as expected. Stunning inside and out would be really cool on top of this.

I will measure the product by this the upcoming months 😁

EN Android 10.50.3, still no bug fix. Seeing this even on new hardware with a lot of RAM and CPU every once in a while. Some day the images are shown, the other day not. And so on. It is definitely not a ressource issue but a programming bug nobody cares in development.

Bending Spoons: Concentrating on AI stuff while not even being able to simply show my images? It must be a joke. Pay more for an app lagging essential bug fixing? No.

(Started once more ticket:# 3682046 - Image cannot be rendered properly)

Addition: I now get the bug on all Android devices a lot, even on offline notebooks. Evernote on Android still stays an app you cannot rely on. It is so frustrating.

Update: I got a reply on my ticket by Hector C. (technical support specialist). He confirmed the - for over 2 years - ongoing image rendering bug.

"The issue itself has been complicated to resolve but our developers continue to work on improvements, albeit, more slowly than we have hoped for."

Wow, we are just speaking about displaying images consistently... Let's see if the announced quality over quantity approach of Bending Spoons really kicks in the next months.

Since @Federico Simionato unpinned this topic I wanted to update the thread: The bug is persistent and has not been resolved yet. Using a freshly updated EN 10.53.1 on Android I immediately got the bug again on the second note I opened ("image could not be rendered properly"). A note which showed correctly before. @Federico Simionato: Is this topic worked on (being unpinned I think not?).  I see this bug on Android since the introduction of EN10. Thank you.

I've had a few responses from support that it's being worked on but no fix in over 2-years. How sad that this issue has not been resolved yet. (V--10.65.3) I guess for me it's time to move my small group of 10-users to a real app.

FYI, if you're on v. 10.65.3 you're using a desktop version of Evernote. This is the Android support forum; the latest version for Android is 10.58.1. Point being that the underlying issues may be different in the two apps and operating systems. It's also conceivable that the newest Windows version (10.66.3 I think) may have resolved it. If the update isn't available through the app itself, you can get it at https://evernote.com/download.

Thanks Dave-in Decatur, OK I'm using Android 10.58.1 too, since you're a "Level 5" I would have guessed that you know that this problem exists in Android, Web and Mac OS versions. I'm a paid customer that's been dealing with this for over a year with Evernote support. They have been somewhat responsive but unable to resolve this issue even after several escalations. Most recently Evernote has decided to reorganize their support department. Here's the quote from yesterday: "Evernote Customer Support here! We are currently restructuring the Evernote Customer Support department to ensure we can deliver a better service to you and all our customers. Some delay in response time is expected. We apologize for the inconvenience."

I deployed Evernote in 2010 but I'm at the end of my road with it unless I can resolved this issue. Since Evernote support has gone dark I thought I would check and see if anyone has found effective workarounds.

Mr. Decatur, do you really think the newest version has resolved the problem which first appeared in this thread over two years ago? or are you just making useless posts to gain "levels" and waste our time?

Mr Payne, Are you being unnecessarily unpleasant to other users? That snipe seems unhelpful at best.

I've made a note not to offer help on this issue in case it produces a similarly offensive response.
