fporter 0 Posted October 26, 2010 Posted October 26, 2010 Hi,Wow, I've been using Evernote for Android beta 2.0b2 on Android 2.1 (Samsung Captivate) and am reconsidering using Evernote. This new Android client is soooo much better than its predecessor. Please consider implementing multiple tag filtering. The user could select multiple tags and only the notes containing all those notes would be presented in a list. When creating a note the user is able to select multiple tags to apply to a note via a checklist. When filtering notes it would be really useful if one could select multiple tags in a similar manner. An enhancement to this would be if the user could select multiple tags and then select AND or OR logic, by selecting find notes containing ALL or find notes containing ANY. If the user can select only one tag to filter the list how are tags functionally different from notebooks? Please implement multi-tag filtering on the windows client also. In the main notes list the user can select either Detail View or Thumbnail View. The thumbnail view is nearly useless for lengthy text notes. Thumb view is ok for picture notes though. It'd be nice if the user could customize the Detail View to display (or not) the Thumb, Title, Date, Tag(s) or selectible # of lines of note body text. Then the user could create a custom view, presenting a high density list of, for example, just titles.Allow the user to save customized list views so the user would not have to apply a tag filter, custom view, sort by date, etc. to achieve a list of desired notes. Instead the user could tap the menu button, select saved views, and the desired saved view. Then even better would be to allow the user to create a shortcut on the Android home screen to specific saved views or notebooks! Now we're talking user friendly!thanks,Fred
juwlz 6 Posted October 30, 2010 Posted October 30, 2010 When creating a note the user is able to select multiple tags to apply to a note via a checklist. That functionality has been present since the first 2.0 Beta: Click on the tag icon at the top of the note, and then click on the tag icon to the left of the "Enter tag here" box. You'll be presented with a list of all your tags as a checklist. You can enter your tags in searches to get the AND combination, e.g. tag:shopping tag:personalPlease implement multi-tag filtering on the windows client also. It's already in the Windows client: use Ctrl+click to select multiple tags.Allow the user to save customized list views so the user would not have to apply a tag filter, custom view, sort by date, etc. to achieve a list of desired notes. Instead the user could tap the menu button, select saved views, and the desired saved view. Some of this is already possible using saved searches (click the search icon, then pick your saved search from the list).Julie
