Evernote Work chat is supper Laggy with long delays.

I have been using Evernote for a few weeks and i love it but the android version is supper laggy when it comes to writing text and the biggest elephant in the room for me is the work chat. It is unusable, me and my friend are trying to communicate with each other and the delays in the message time is astronomical. I send a message and 20n mins later he receives !!!! That is unusable. Anyone Help? 

edit: The chat problem is for all platforms, android, web and windows( I don't use iOS). I use the web one more frequently.
