I think it is a great feature that phone numbers get turned into links that can be used to dial them instantly.
I think you could further improve the the algorithm for detection though. In my case problems came from dates written in the typical style they are written in German:
14.02.1988 is detected as a phone number, even though in German phone numbers usually never contain dots. This is a date in German. (14th of February 1988.)
The same is true for strings like 13.07 -> this is the 13th of July, written slightly sloppy without a second dot. (And 13.07. also gets converted into a link and a separate dot in the end.)
(For other people with the same problem: You can just disable the feature for now in the settings, if it is too much hassle to remove the links!)
