30franimals 0 Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Hi, I use keystrokes to navigate my way around my desktop, and command + ` is how I move between windows in the same application. That keystroke is not working with my updated version of evernote. Advice?
brian_t_grant 45 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 This seems to be working just fine for me. Can you provide some more details about your OS version and version of Evernote. Can you confirm that this same shortcut is producing the expected results in other applications beside Evernote?
30franimals 0 Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Thanks for the reply!! Yes. That shortcut works in all other applications. (Word, chrome, excel, zotero, .... everything) Evernote specs: v 10.3.7 build 458378 public Editor: v111.0.14414 Service: v1.22.6 Mac OS High Sierra 10.13.6 Just to double and triple check, I have restarted the computer several times, rebooted evernote, etc. (The other thing that appears to be busted here is that, when I use arrow keys--instead of my mouse-- to click through different notes, the notes I am arrowing to do not appear in the main viewing window.)
brian_t_grant 45 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 There is a newer version of Evernote available; this is what I'm running: v 10.4.4 build 2096 public Editor: v112.1.14477 Service: v1.23.6 If you're not being prompted to update when you go to Help => Check For Updates, try downloading the latest version from https://evernote.com/download I'm on macOS Catalina 10.15.7. Even still, I use this keyboard shortcut pretty often in many apps and I don't recall encountering any issues with it not working in Evernote 10.
30franimals 0 Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Thanks! Is it weird that help looks like this? No check for updates. I can download...
brian_t_grant 45 Posted December 3, 2020 Posted December 3, 2020 For whatever reason, I think "Check for Updates" only appears if you have the main, Evernote window in front. Which is to say that, if you have a note in its own window, you won't see that option under Help. Let us know if you're able to figure out what's up!
30franimals 0 Posted December 3, 2020 Author Posted December 3, 2020 Thanks!! I downloaded the newer version and the problem is fixed. Much appreciated.
