(Archived) disabling sync popup notifications on mac

Idea

I'm looking for a way to turn off the sync notifications that appear on the top right of the screen in Evernote for Mac. In an ideal world, I'd like to have a notification popup only on failed sync. In the absence of that, I want the notifications to stop popping up and distracting me from my writing.

For some reason, these seems to have only been discussed for the Windows version, but the solution in that thread (viewtopic.php?f=53&t=15688&start=3) isn't possible in the version I have. I'm using what appears to be the newest version (Version 1.11.0 (99371)) on OS X 10.6.4. In the Preferences -> Sync pane, my only options are frequency of sync and notification if I quit while syncing.

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

The sync notifications are all done through the "Growl" framework. If you go into System Preferences, under "Growl", you can configure the behavior on an application-by-application basis, or just get rid of all notifications.
