What works as a workaround for me is to drag the file from EN on to the Macs desktop, and from there into the other app (or vice versa).

By dropping it to the desktop it somehow unwraps the container in which the file seems to be hiding.

Not a real solution, but still better than using the „save“ workflow.

Mac client V10.41.5 (MacOS Monterey V12.4) and apparently it doesn't work.

Same goes for Windows 11 (V10.0.22000) unfortunately.

Unless I'm doing something wrong... Clicking the pdf in the note so the border turns blue, I can drag but not drop. It simply doesn't do it...

Trying to drop in the Finder window on Mac or the Explorer window in Windows 11. No luck. On Windows 10 Enterprise (V20H2) I can drop it to Explorer.
Actually, windows 11 may be a problem on its own. I'm not really a huge fan of it...

Apparently, I can drop it in an Outlook (V16.62) mail message on Mac but unfortunately not on Windows 10 (Outlook 365 V2102) nor Windows 11 (Outlook 365 V2206).

Do you use the AppStore version, or the direct download ?

The AppStore version is known to give problems that are sometimes hard to crack - especially in the interchange of information between the app me other elements. This is caused by MacOS, running the AppStore apps in a sandbox.
